Affordable ethical fashion, I’ll admit, can sometimes be hard to find. It’s frustrating to feel like you have to choose between affordable fashion made with questionable human rights considerations or dishing out money you don’t have for a product with an amazing story. But what if you could go somewhere where all the products were always on sale? I think that would be pretty darn awesome. Jenny Foust thought so too, and so she created Love Justly.
“I came up with this idea because I always wanted a place that merged my favorite things – a good deal with companies making a difference. Sometimes the hurdle to buying ethical fashion is the price. I want to help eliminate that, while introducing people to amazing companies.”
Love Justly has all it’s bases covered – from clothing, to shoes and accessories, to even jewelry. Though the website is just getting started, it already has products from brands such as Starfish Project and Symbology. Each product is made by artisan partners of the brands, and has a unique way of making an impact in the community where it’s made. But it doesn’t stop there – 5% of the profits from each sale also go to Legacy Collective, an organization that help bring sustainable solutions to social issues around the world, so each purchase gives back not once, but twice.
“Everything we own is touched by someone and it’s important to stop and think about our purchases and how the workers behind that product may be treated.” Jenny says, “Cheap fashion often comes at a cost, but Love Justly is the one spot where a discount doesn’t mean someone sacrificed. Everything on the site is always on sale and everything is always ethically sourced.”
Love Justly really does sound like a dream come true. The discounts can even range as high as 50% on some pieces. Take these Lily Paige Leather Boots from Fortress of Inca, for example.
(Disclaimer: Love Justly kindly gifted me these boots, but as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own!)
Originally priced at $220, these boots are up on Love Justly for just $123.99. That’s about 44% off. Where else you can find a discount like that?
And if you’re wondering how these Fortress of Inca boots fit and feel, let me tell you. They have the softest, smoothest leather I have ever felt. They’re surprisingly comfortable for having a wooden heel, and the laces are thin but durable. There is definitely no lack of quality in these shoes, and you can tell that a lot of care went into making them. On top of that, I love knowing that they were ethically made in Peru, using as many natural materials as possible (leather, wood and rubber to be specific). Best of all, Love Justly makes them affordable.
