You would not believe how difficult it is to find a weekly planner or agenda made of recycled paper and is ethically made. If you’re looking for a journal or notebook, sure, you’ve got tons to choose from. But a planner? Impossible. Almost.
I mean sure, I think there might be a few out there that, sorry, are just really damn ugly. We live in a time where beautiful stationary is available everywhere, and I’m not one to settle. After all, I don’t need much in a planner. After using different ones over the years with varying degrees of extra “features” and helpful add-ons, I’ve noticed that I actually really don’t use any of them. All I really need is the week laid out for me in an easy-to-read way and a cover that I enjoy looking at.
After some extensive searching and asking around, I finally found this 2017 Weekly Planner from Sasha Kretova on Etsy.
Why it’s awesome:
- 100% recycled paper
- hand-bound in Helsinki (ethically made)
- supports a small business
- a no frills, minimalist design
- comes in eco-friendly packaging (bio-degradable bubble wrap, how cool is that?!)
- two front cover options
- comes in two different sizes – I got the small one
The planner also includes year-at-a-glance pages and some blank pages at the end for notes.
An unexpected bonus was that, along with my planner, I also received four very pretty postcards! While I don’t send postcards, I love the way they look and am currently looking for a way to display them on my desk or wall somehow.
Do you use a minimalist planner or one with lots of features? Let me know in the comments below!

This is great! I have been looking for a planner and one that helps the environment is a must in my book.
Thanks for sharing this! What a great find, I might have to try one in 2018 🙂
